What is a soaker hose?

A vegetable bed soaker hose is notable by its design. These may look like ordinary garden hoses, but there is a vital difference.

A vegetable soaker hose has tiny holes along its length that aren’t that dissimilar from the pores on your skin. These openings allow water to slowly seep out into the plant bed.

How does a soaker hose work?

The vegetable soaker hose works by snaking around the even layout and linear arrangement of row-planted garden vegetables.

When a vegetable soaker hose is sited in your garden bed, the low water pressure permits an economical flow from the hose straight to the base of the plants.

This means that the vegetable garden plants in your vegetable beds are getting more water to their root system and less water in places where it will quickly evaporate.

Designed to operate at low water pressure and can be attached to both a tap or garden water butt if supply is situated higher than soaker and your vegetable plant beds.

The soaker hose can be covered with mulch.
